Sen. Curtis King and Rep. Charles Ross have scheduled a pair of town hall meetings for Saturday, March 29. The meetings will be in southeast Yakima from 10 to 11 a.m. and in West Valley from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Ross, R-Naches, and King, R-Yakima, will report to residents of the 14th Legislative District on the just-concluded 2008 legislative session, discuss other issues of concern, and take questions.
“Now that we are home, we look forward to the opportunity to meet with our constituents and discuss the issues that affect the Yakima Valley – issues like taxes, education and public safety,” King said. “These town halls are a great way for people to provide us with their ideas, comments and concerns.”
“The Yakima Valley legislators worked very hard to pass legislation that will address the needs of our area,” said Ross. “The feedback we get from town hall meetings can be a big help in determining our course for the next legislative session.”
The town hall meeting times and locations are:
- 10 to 11 a.m., Southeast Yakima Community Center, 1211 South 7th Street
- 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., West Valley Junior High School auditorium, 7505 Zier Road
